Lt Gen Nauman Mahmood , HI (M) (Retd) MD AWT


Lt Gen Nauman Mahmood, HI (M) (Retired) passed out from Pakistan Military Academy in 1987 and was commissioned in an Infantry Battalion. He is graduate of Command and Staff College Quetta, Command and Staff College Caria, Egypt and National Defence University Islamabad. The General Officer is a recipient of Hilal-e-lmtiaz (Military) and holds a Master Degree in War Studies as well.

General Nauman has served at various Command, Staff and Instructional assignments. Besides Commanding an Infantry Regiment; he has commanded a Para Brigade in South Waziristan Agency and an Infantry Brigade in Kashmir. He has been Chief of Staff in Headquarters 11 Corps and Chief Instructor at Command and Staff College Quetta. As a Major General he has commanded 7 Infantry Division in North Waziristan Agency and performed the duties of Director General (Analysis) in Directorate General Inter Services Intelligence Islamabad. After Promotion to the rank of Lieutenant General he held the appointment of Inspector General Communication & Information Technology Branch General Headquarters, Rawalpindi. He was appointed as Commander 11 Corps Peshawar Cantonment and further appointed as President National Defence University Islamabad and retired on 23 Apr 2023.




Major General Kamran Ali (Retd)



Major General Kamran Ali (Retd) currently holds the position of Executive Director (Aviation & Finance) at Army Welfare Trust (AWT). With a diverse educational background, including an MSc in War Studies and Management from the National Defence University (NDU) and MA in International Relations from Baluchistan University, Major General Ali has honed his expertise in strategic management. Throughout his illustrious military career, he has undertaken significant roles such as Director General (DG) at RV&FC GHQ and General Officer Commanding (GOC) at both the 17 Division and 2 Arty Division. His extensive training, including completion of prestigious courses like the Armed Forces War Course and Battalion Command Course in Germany, further solidifies his proficiency in defense strategies and operational management.

Ms. Maleeha Humayun Bangash


Ms. Maleeha Humayun Bangash is a recognized Banking & Financial Industry expert, with rich experience of more than 22 years obtained in Singapore, Turkey and Pakistan primarily in Banking & Financial Services.

Maleeha Humayun Bangash is on the board of Habib Insurance Co. Ltd., Cherat Packaging Ltd., Nishat Power Ltd. and Service Global Footwear Ltd. In her past career she occupied the position of Managing Director-Investment Climate Reform Unit at The World Bank Group and Chief Strategy Officer of JS Investments Ltd. and Chief Strategy Officer for JS Investments Ltd.

She received an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences.

Mr. Malik Riffat Mehmod


Malik Riffat Mehmood is currently working as Director Finance at Army Welfare Trust. He is a seasoned finance professional with diversified working experience in multiple industries including Pharmaceutical, Aviation, Textile, Oil and Gas and Sugar. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He has hands-on experience of strategic and financial planning coupled with proven ability of translating strategic vision into practical action plans.

Mr. Raheel Qamar Ahmad


Mr. Ahmad has been the CEO of standard chartered Modarba since 2011, which was renamed as ORIX Modarba after acquisition by ORIX group, a landmark FDI transaction by the largest and oldest NBFI group in Pakistan. He has over 27 years of varied corporate and investment banking experience. In his last three roles, he ran the country local corporate portfolio at standard chartered bank and large regional corporate portfolios at United Bank limited and allied bank. Prior to that he ran Mashreq Banks Structured finance portfolio. He has also participated as sell side advisor for entities in government of Pakistan privatization programme. in addition to various technical risk, Islamic banking and other certifications, raheel is also certified board director (from PICG) enabling him to be appointed to any listed company’s board in the country, He also holds a master in business administration from the Illinois Institute of of technology , Chicago and a bachelor of science in engineering from university of engineering and technology Lahore (UET). He is a former chairman of NBFI and Modarba Association of Pakistan and vice president of the Asian Financial Services Association.

Mr. Sajjad Anwar, CFA


Mr. Sajjad Anwar is a seasoned Investment Professional with wide-ranging experience in the Financial Markets of Pakistan spanning over 21 years that involves Equity Research, Portfolio Management, Investment Advisory, Risk Management, and Finance & Accounts. For the last 15 years, he has been working in the Fund Management Industry.

Before becoming CEO at AWTIL, he was performing the role of Chief Investment Officer at NBP Funds. As a CIO, he led the largest and most qualified investment team in the industry that was managing investments of Rs. 185 billion in mutual funds, ETF, VPS, and Investment Advisory portfolios. Prior to joining NBP Funds in 2007, he was associated with Army Welfare Trust (AWT) as Manager Strategic Risk Management. He started his career with Shifa Foundation as an Assistant Manager Finance & Accounts. He was also associated with International Islamic University, Islamabad as a visiting faculty member. Mr. Sajjad Anwar holds MBA in Finance and is a CFA charterholder.

He is an avid cricketer with a keen interest in a number of other sports including Badminton. He is also a profound follower of global economic and political affairs.

He remained involved with CFA society as a volunteer at various levels.
